Saosin in Manila

Saosin a post-hardcore alternative rock band and i myself consider them as Emo band that was form in 2003 has just stepped up in the soil of Manila. Yes one of my favorite band of all time made a concert here in the Philippines last January 22 at it was stunning. Their front man Cove Reber and together with the rest of the band puts their fans off their feet jumping and screaming on their very music. It was stunningly an awesome event.

Saosin was able to play almost all of my favorite hits and when they sang out Seven Years that was really the most unforgettable part as i never thought i could hear it live right from the voices of Cove Reber. Lots of critics i heard about him as he was just a replacement of the original Saosin vocalist Anthony Green, people were saying he cannot equal what Anthony Green has brought but for me Cove Reber deserves the spotlight he has now. He is 1 true great musician and always have passion over his performance. If you have just watch the concert i guess you people will have the same feelings with me. Still i admire Anthony Green and the path he chose but i would never say anything less toward Cove Reber, Definitely good. Mabuhay Saosin.

Emo versus Goth

Well apparently some people could not distinguish an Emo Kid to a Goth Kid, but there are some who can. More likely they have some differences and also they have something in common in terms to fashion, music, and their own kind of approach or their kind of personality.

--In terms of Music--
Most Emo listen to the music of Fallout Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Paramore, Dashboard Confessional and Thursday.

Most Goth listen to the music of Covenant, Screams for Tina, The Cure, Bella Morte and Fields of the Nephilim.

These 2 lists of genre are not an inclusive list particularly. If your familiar with these bands you will immediately notice the general differences. Goth are more on to ghost thingy or dead song kind of music while Emo shoulders sadness, pain of love kind of music. Music Bands loyal to their genre really make up good lyrics focusing on what lifestyle they are. But some Bands are kind of universal were they know how to blend or adopt either Genre.

--In terms of Fashion--
There could be a little similarity between Emo vs Goth in terms of fashion. They like black.

Emo usually wears a semi-fit shirts not necessarily black but most of it. Their alternate color usually is pink for both Emo Girls and Emo boys. Emo Boys stays with their black Emo hair and Emo Girls, some like to color a ittle of their hair to something shiny to be considered as Hot Emo Girls. They use tight jeans and some canvas flats. Emo Girls will do the cute skirt/fishnets/knee socks thing but not mostly.

Goth fashion defines black, from shirt to jeans to shoes and even have their nail polished black, some black eyeliners and black lipstick. These apply to both Male and Female Goth. Goth tends to use lots of black bling bling type of accessories in different parts of their bodies.

There are still a lot of characteristics which differentiate Emo vs Goth, my article just states some visible and common among among them to help distinguish. Its not really important for non Emo and non Goth to really identify a person if he is Emo or Goth, its the life they choose and so let them have it.

In terms of their personality and approach both likely are similar to each other as they label themselves into depression, sorrow, and mostly negative feedback for themselves. Negative but they are used to it as it is somehow the way they want people see them.

Hot Emo Girls

Look at these ladies.. aren't they hot? Well definitely they are and not just that they look so cool and i can label them girl next door. Yes this generation of Emo Girls knows how to dress and style themselves, they have excellent creativity when it comes to fashion and they boost up the trend.

Some are saying the Emo Girls are the only good thing about Emo, for me they are wrong and there is nothing bad about being Emo knowing its kind of sad and worse its a suicidal thing. Ofcourse its not, being Emo can be describe related aspects of fashion, culture and behavior. They say Emo are weak when it comes to emotions and i don't believe that because Emo are somehow smart and creative they are just been visualize by public as group of sad people. The more they keep them self quiet is the more they are propagating new ideas, new trends and new kind of event.

Now look again with these hot Emo Girls they could still look good if they dress up or fashion up the other way but they look best this way. Why not be Emo and catch up the Emo Girls.

Emo Hairstyles at its best

I consider Emo Hairstyle as the most coolest hairstyle nowadays. It looks so unique and very distinguishable from other hairstyle, mostly straight long covering one part of the eye.

If you notice Korean male have similar hairstyle to Emo except perhaps for the color which Koreans usually have it blond while Emo have it black. But in general Korean Hairstyle are into anime looking leaving the Emo Hairstyle the coolest for me.

To have this kind of Hairstyle, obviously you should to let your hair grow first but its not really necessary to really have it long, there are Emo Hairstyle too that are short and still looks cool but it is always an advantage to have it long so there is something more to work with with the kind of Hairstyle you want.

Emo Love

What is Emo Love?
Emo love is different from the normal dating scene mostly because of the emotional quality of the relationship and the characteristics of the emo personality. Emos are, of course, thought to be very emotional and wear their emotions close to the surface. You need to be careful with emo love because it's easy to hurt an emos' feelings.

Emo personalities have a reputation for being shy, sensitive, introverted and quiet. None of that is a bad thing, it's just good to know what you're getting into if you’re not an emo and find yourself in the midst of emo love.

A controversial aspect of the stereotypical emo personality profile is a propensity for cutting, burning, or self-mutilation. While obviously this is not true for all individuals, it is something to be aware of.

Falling in Emo Love

Being in emo love can be a wonderful experience. There's a lot of affection and emotion and it is quite an intense experience. But it can also be a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Because often they are so sensitive and emotional, the smallest fight can seem like the end of the world.

When you're feeling the love, though, emo love can be great. This persona tends to be romantic and often write poetry or love songs for his or her beloved. You will definitely feel wanted and appreciated when you're with an emo.

What is Emo

Emo according to Wikipedia is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as "emotional hardcore" or "emocore" and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace. As the style was echoed by contemporary American punk rock bands, its sound and meaning shifted and changed, blending with pop punk and indie rock and encapsulated in the early 1990s by groups such as Jawbreaker and Sunny Day Real Estate. By the mid 1990s numerous emo acts emerged from the Midwestern and Central United States, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the style.

Emo broke into mainstream culture in the early 2000s with the platinum-selling success of Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional and the emergence of the subgenre "screamo". In recent years the term "emo" has been applied by critics and journalists to a variety of artists, including multiplatinum acts and groups with disparate styles and sounds.

In addition to music, "emo" is often used more generally to signify a particular relationship between fans and artists, and to describe related aspects of fashion, culture, and behavior.
